BABY NAMING CEREMONIES
Ceremony from £350
Welcoming a new born baby into your life, and your family, is an amazing, emotionally overwhelming and at times a completely terrifying experience.
A ‘Baby Naming Ceremony’ enables you and your family, friends and loved ones to create a personalised, meaningful way to celebrate the arrival of your new baby and welcome them. It is a non-religious alternative to a Christening or religious ceremony, and is a way to officially name your child, celebrating their arrival into your world.
In the past you may have chosen ‘god parents’ in a religious ceremony, and today you can select ‘guide parents’ to perform that role to ensure they have the love, support and guidance from other significant adults, outside of the family unit. This is the perfect opportunity to share your values, dreams and hopes for your baby’s future with those accompanying you on this important journey.
You can choose what form the celebration takes, from a simple ceremony party declaring your baby’s name or you may decide to include celebratory elements such as sand ceremonies, tree planting or hand and foot printing, and involve loved ones to tell the story of your family.
EVERY BABY NAMING IS UNIQUE
Every family has it’s own unique story to tell
Every baby is special to their own family in many different ways
My role, as your celebrant, is to listen to your story and capture the essence in a creative and succinct way to share with your loved ones. This is such a significant and poignant time in your life and as a parenting coach in my previous life, I completely get the significance and importance of bringing home baby into your world.
I’d be honoured to share this exciting celebration with you and look forward to meeting you and your new family.
“I just wanted to thank you so very much for the naming ceremony you conducted yesterday for Baby Sophie. We loved it and have had so much lovely feedback today from friends and family. It was a golden afternoon bathed in love.”
“While adoption does not undo the past, adopting a child, and more specifically an older child, gives an adoptive family the privilege of writing the parts of the child’s story that have not yet been written.”
