I’m Elaine, an independent celebrant in SW London
It’s a privilege to be able to support you in your celebration, whether it be a funeral service, wedding or name changing ceremony.
My approach is designed to ensure you feel supported every step of the way. If we’re honouring and celebrating the life of your loved one, I will ensure it’s delivered with dignity, respectfully and with meaning.
If we’re celebrating your love story, I will create a totally bespoke beautifully personal service, that can be romantic, funny, uplifting….whatever you want, as this wedding day is all about you!
Everything is addressed with the human touch, honouring the unique you.
Because when you feel supported, and listened to, your celebration will be joyful.
And when your guests are welcomed warmly and unconditionally, they will feel cared for.
How does it work?
Step 1
Meeting & Sharing Ideas
I’ll initially speak to you via video link and see if I can be ‘your celebrant’. We then firm up the date/time/venue for your ceremony and then I will either meet you in person or via video link and ask lots of questions, so I can hear about any ideas you have for your ceremony. You are in charge of the content for your celebration, and there is no formula you have to follow. You can have anything you want (within reason).
Step 2
Exploring Possibilities
Having listened to your ideas, I can then advise you on other options to consider that I think you may like. Together we can explore and ensure you turn your unique ideas into a memorable celebration. Music and readings touch hearts like nothing else. Choosing the right words and music for your special occasion could be some of the most important decisions you make, so whatever the occasion, I can help you find the perfect poems, readings, rituals.
We then set up a private Whatsapp group.
Step 3
Creating & Delivering
I will write a draft script for you to review and make any changes. and deliver your ceremony/ service on the big day.
No cookie cutter approach here as no two celebrations are ever the same. We work closely together with good comms to ensure the ceremony that is performed on the day is the one you always hoped you would have. I will provide a presentation copy of your ceremony for you to keep forever as part of your story.
